Giving back is a commitment.
If you’ve been following us for a little while, you already know that we support the West Seattle Food Bank all year round here at Tom’s Automotive.
Wanted to remind you of this as the days get shorter, and the nights are darker, and the chill in the air deepens with the Winter season.
Did you know that we also encourage our customers to bring in non-perishable goods in order to:
- Easily participate in community giving. Sometimes it’s just not on the radar to share with the community. We get it. You’re busy, and if your vehicle needs to be in our shop, well, chances are good that you’ve just gotten even busier.
The truth is, it feels really good to share the abundance we do have, even when we’re experiencing some inconvenience in needing repairs or maintenance.
Bringing in some non-perishable goods for neighbors in need can bring about some perspective and remind us that we may already have it pretty good in many ways. - Receive a special incentive for helping us support the West Seattle Food Bank. Part of making it easier to share includes the Special Offers we make and keep all year round. One is a Wisdom special, for seniors, another is the Comprehensive Inspection & Service, and the last is the West Seattle Food Bank Coupon.
With this last offer, when you bring in 3 items of non-perishable foods or specific goods (or more), you’ll receive 10% off (up to $20) on your service. No other offers may be combined. And definitely mention or present this coupon at the time of write up for your vehicle service.
A note about non-perishables for food bank giving:
Our West Seattle Food Bank supports so many people and there are needs for more items than food. Packages of new diapers, toiletries, and similar items are very welcome.
Also, if you’re thinking of sharing prepared mixes of any kind, please be mindful of other ingredients that may require additional items in order to make the finished product. Select mixes that need water in order to complete the mix.
For example, some cake mixes require an egg, water, and oil in order to properly mix the batter prior to baking.
Not everyone can easily have eggs in a fridge or cold box. Or oil in the pantry. Or a pan.
Just keep this in mind as you make your selections with care.
Schedule your next service with us today. And thank you in advance for partnering with us to support more people in our shared community.
We appreciate you and your care, West Seattle neighbors!
