And to celebrate 48 years in business, we added a new (temporary) team member who is living it up while the weather permits!
It’s hard to believe that we just celebrated our 48th birthday.
Time really does fly.
A bit of our backstory
Tom’s Automotive was founded in 1971 by Tom Smith. It was founded with the intention of servicing cars, trucks, SUV’s and eventually hybrid vehicles, and boy has it done that! In 1991, Kandie Jennings joined the Tom’s Automotive team and has worked in a number of positions throughout the company ever since.
In fact, she loved the company so much that she purchased it from Tom in 2010, and committed herself to ensure that the shop and team are always keeping up with the most current technology and services in the industry.
We love West Seattle!
Tom’s Automotive, as a team, has been dedicated to bettering the community not only through keeping vehicles safe but also through giving back and supporting the community in a number of ways. Kandie serves on a number of boards in the community to stay connected and be able to offer support where needed.
Tom’s gives back by donating time and resources to the local food bank, as well as local Peewee baseball and girls softball teams.
Tom’s believes in employing the best ASE/Emissions Certified technicians and also supporting and funding their ongoing training each and every year.

PS: Sadly, our new “team member Flakey from Snowmagedden” won’t be around for long, but it was fun while it lasted!
